A battery solar system has three power sources: solar panels, the national grid, and the battery. Similar to on-grid systems, both solar panels and the grid can work together. However, with a hybrid system, the backup capability ensures the system remains operational during power outages or blackouts.

- When solar production exceeds household demand, the excess energy is stored in the battery for use at night or during outages.
- The stored energy is supplied by the hybrid inverter to power critical loads during a blackout.
- If the solar panels aren’t producing and the battery is depleted, electricity is automatically imported from the national grid.
- All activities can be monitored through ATW’s monitoring system.
